Does there always have to be a title?

My days have been full...just the way I like them.
Homeschool has begun again. I just love schooling my children. When we first started homeschooling, it was only going to be for a year. My oldest (a boy) was in Pre-K, and I was pregnant with my second child. By providence, I suppose, he had a terrible year. His teacher, although well intentioned, needed to have quit teaching about 15 years before that, because she was old and sour. She wanted the children to keep their hands in their laps and their feet on the floor. Wasn't happening with my 4 year old ball of energy. I regularly had notes sent home in his backpack telling me that he was too rowdy. He was only there for 6 months, but had a couple of trips to the principals office, as well as my having to leave school where I was teaching 6th graders because she wanted me to come give him a spanking. Needless to say...it was a terrible year. I know that the story makes it sound like he was a rotten kid, but believe me, he wasn't! The teacher wanted me to spank him because he broke his pencil! I was so concerned that he would get the idea that he was the 'bad kid' in class, and that it would be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Well, we finally decided to pull him out of there in February, and homeschool him for a year so that he could mature a bit. That was the best thing that I've ever 'fallen into' in my life! I'll say it again, I love homeschooling my children! Teaching your own children to read can't be beat! Why let a stranger have that joy? And why let a stranger have the joy of their company during the best part of their day? They come home exhausted and starving, and then have more work left to do. No time for building, creating, playing, etc. Umm, no thanks, and praise the Lord for better options!
Here's a pic of my little crew acting silly recently. They were trying to all fit in my office chair (And the baby isn't cross-eyed like it looks in the picture!)

Here's some of what I've done in my productive time.
Coordinating dresses for the girls (my oldest is 10, but one of the advantages of homeschooling is the lack of peer-dependency, so she doesn't mind coordinating with her little sister).

Like Amanda , I've got a think for brown corduroy lately.

My fair isle sweater is to embarassing to show because of lack of progress. I'm not even finished with the first repeat. I've discovered that I don't have a two-track mind, so I have to do the fair isle when no one else is talking to me or anyting. Doesn't happen much in this house. I finally gave in last week and started some mindless knitting.

I love this book by Lucinda Guy. Full of adorable childrens knits. I'm going to add the flowers on later with duplicate stitch, so that it can really be a 'mindless' knit for me.
I don't know if it's truly accurate to call it mindless. I knit that lace border at least 8 times before I was able to complete it without mistakes!
