Fixin in February
I'm participating in this:
I don't have a lot of item that need fixing, but I thought that I'd participate, or the pesky few that I have wouldn't ever get done.
The first item to be ripped is:
It was the first thing I ever knit. I don't think that a sweater was a wise choice for a beginning knitting class. (I didn't get to choose, a sweater was the requirement). Like most beginners, I knit very TIGHTLY on my first stitches, which happened to be my gauge swatch. Later I loosened up a bit, which means that I ended up with a sweater that is about a 2 or 3XL. (I wear a medium!)
I'm going to 'unknit' this one, and save the wool/cotton yarn for another project one day. It will probably get dyed as well, because how practical is off white yarn for a mom of 5, I ask you???
Next up:
Matching sweater vests for my 2 youngest boys. I made these for them to wear for Christmas, and I don't like the single crochet edging on the neckline and armholes. I'm going to rip that off, and replace it with 2x2 ribbing. My baby has probably already outgrown his, but I'm going to fix it for posterity's sake anyway. ;-)
In other knitting news, I'm participating in....
I'm having a terrible time deciding on a pattern and yarn for my pal! I've bought over $100 worth of yarn, and keep changing my mind about what to use. And then picking a pattern! I probably need to take hubby's suggestion and put names in a hat and have one of my kids draw for me! I want to have this started by next week.

I'm so with you on the white yarn thing. What was I thinking buying 15 skeins of white yarn while pregnant with twins?!
Best of luck with the fixin and deciding on a sock yarn!
